It is no secret that singer Robbie Williams has established himself as one of the most important international stars in the music industry thanks to his distinctive style and vocal talent. However, despite his imminent fame and transcendence, the Englishman was completely “ignored” during his most recent walk through the city of London, which caused his concern.
In a video posted on social media, the “Angels” singer can be seen walking through Hide Park in the English capital, while he talks about his concern about not being recognized despite his presence and his striking clothes.
“This is very worrying. We didn’t know we were going to walk back from the restaurant and I’m walking through Hide Park. I’m dressed in pink, I’m wearing pink shoes and glasses with diamonds. No one has recognised me.”
In the same video, and as a result of the lack of recognition he received, the same singer greets a woman, who responds to his greeting cautiously and without being able to recognize him.
The “Rock DJ” singer even decided to take off his blazer and lay down on the grass in the park in an attempt to attract attention. In response to this action, the British artist said that “it wasn’t like that in the nineties.”
It bothers me. I really need to be recognized. Nothing was like that in the nineties.”
Following this action, Williams only caused a child, who was in the same place, to flee the area.
After Robbie’s video was released, dozens of users responded saying that they did recognize the singer but did not want to approach him for “fear” of bothering him.
Similarly, and as part of the reactions generated, a large group of Internet users pointed out that the artist’s extravagant attitude, as well as his lack of relevance in recent years, caused people to not decide to approach him.
Prior to the recent viralization of Robbie Williams’ video, Guy Chambers, a collaborator of the singer, revealed that the singer turned down a date with Beyoncé years ago. According to Chambers, who participated in the podcast “I Never Thought It Would Happen,” Beyoncé flirted with Williams during their meeting on the show “Top on The Tops.” However, the English artist decided to ignore the American because he considered her too young.
I remember Beyoncé. She was incredibly young then. I remember her hanging out the dressing room door with the other two (Destiny’s Child), flirting with Rob trying to get his attention. He was like, ‘Oh, she’s too young. I’m not going to do it.’
