The new FC Barcelona coach of German Hansi Flick is starting its pre-season at a frenetic pace: seven training sessions in just five days will mark the first week of work for the Blaugrana team.

According to EFE, the medical and physical tests will begin on Wednesday, July 10, and will continue until Thursday morning, July 11. But the intensity will not stop there, since the first training sessions of the summer are already scheduled for the afternoons of both days.

The first double session will take place on Friday 12th, while on Saturday 13th the first team will train only in the morning. On Sunday 14th the week will close with another double session, completing a total of seven training sessions in a tight programme.

After this intense first week in Barcelona, the Blaugrana squad will head to the United States on July 28 to begin a tour that will include the first three friendlies of the summer: against Manchester City, Real Madrid and Milan.

Hansi Flick’s new Barça team is facing a packed pre-season schedule, looking to get fit quickly to face the challenges ahead.

The seven training sessions in five days are a sign of the demands that the German coach will impose on his players. The American tour, with high-level matches against renowned rivals, will serve as a test bed for the new playing system and to evaluate the team’s performance.
