Mexican soccer player and new player for the Club América Eagles, Erick Sánchez, revealed that he always received a large number of offers from teams from various European countries in order to acquire his services and be one of the Aztec players who would play in the old continent during the time he was with the Tuzos del Pachuca.

Despite this, he explained that the team never reached an agreement with any of these organizations to sign a transfer, which caused it to remain within Liga MX.

Sánchez made these statements during an interview with TUDN, where he explained that his only goal is to make the jump to the old continent and hopes that within the ranks of the blue-cream team he can achieve his goal; he said that América is a team that likes to send its players outside the country to boost their careers.

“It’s not up to me to go to Europe, there were offers, the fact that I wasn’t given the opportunity is different, I’m not going to talk about it anymore, I will always be grateful to Pachuca for what they did for me, the years they supported me, that’s it, there were offers, but there was no agreement,” he said.

“I’m very calm, I’ll always say it, there are things that don’t depend on me, things that are not in my hands, I would have liked to go to Europe, but there are things that don’t depend on me, this opportunity has come to me, I think it’s a big club in Mexico, I have the ability to leave Europe from here, but I have to give my best version, that things go well to make the leap, but first focus here, the board will take care of it if an opportunity comes, I’m not going to be thinking about that,” added Sánchez.

Finally, Erick highlighted that he has always supported the Águilas del América since he was a child and his entire family has always been fans of the club, so playing for this important institution represents a dream come true for him.

“When I arrived I was very nervous, I couldn’t believe that I was on the team I supported as a child, the effort I have made since I was a child, I tried to do things in the best way possible, waiting for an opportunity, I hoped to go to Europe, but now that this opportunity has come up on a big team in Mexico, the team I supported as a child, it makes me calm, I will always give my all on the field and with the team that my entire family supports, practically,” he concluded.
