All weekend the media has been talking about what has been called “the most extravagant wedding of the year.” Contrary to what one might think, this wedding was not that of some Hollywood personality, but of the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, who is the richest man in Asia.
The most striking thing was the guest list, which included entertainment stars, politicians and businessmen. Among all the attendees, the presence of Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas should be highlighted.
Of course, Kim and her sister Khloe took advantage of the opportunity to look elegant at the celebration, and they wasted no time showing off their looks on social media.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant have been long-time lovers, according to media reports. Mukesh Ambani undoubtedly wanted the celebration to be seen around the world and, at the same time, to show the power he has by calling on celebrities from the United States.
The celebration was not a one-day affair, as it all began several weeks ago and ended with the events of this weekend. All the guests gathered in Mumbai, India, more precisely at the Jio World Convention Center, which is owned by Ambani himself. There were also some get-togethers at the wedding in the same house as the family home in the city.
It should be remembered that a few days ago it was reported that pop star Justin Bieber had given a private concert for the couple. Another star who was involved in the days leading up to the celebration was Rihanna.
The final stage of the wedding is said to have begun on Friday, July 12 with a traditional Hindu wedding ceremony, with the reception set to continue throughout the weekend. In addition to those already mentioned, the guest list includes Adele, Lana Del Rey, Drake and David Beckham, according to Indian media.
The entertainment stars are joined by former British Prime Ministers Tony Blair and Boris Johnson; American John Kerry; and Amin H. Nasser, CEO of Saudi Aramco.
