Ecuadorian actor Guty Carrera spoke with Cistina Porta about his participation in the reality show ‘La Isla: Desafío Extremo’, which will premiere on April 30 on Telemundo.
“I would be lying to you and it may sound like I’m a bit self-centered, but I’m not nervous at all. I haven’t even thought about the fact that there are only a few hours left until this great adventure begins, but I already have a lot of experience in this type of reality show, I know the limits of my body, I know how far I can go, so I’m calm,” he said in the interview.
The artist commented that he thought about whether it was prudent to enter this competition, because it was very close to ‘La Casa de los Famosos 4’ and that made him pause a bit to analyze it.
“I really wanted to take a break, calm my thoughts and enjoy life a little, and then this offer came along. I thought about it for a couple of minutes and said yes.”
He said he will focus on strategies because it is an environment he feels very comfortable in. “I see myself going far, unless something happens.”
He didn’t rule out the possibility of meeting someone on the reality show, but said he’s very focused on the game.
There will be 24 contestants in this competition, with some relevant figures such as Aylín Mujica, Julián Gil, Julia Gama, Sergio Mayer, among others.
These participants will be divided into three groups, which must overcome a series of challenges so that one of them can win the $200,000 prize.
The show will be hosted by presenter Javier Poza, who will announce and narrate the various tests that take place on the reality show.
This edition further strengthens this type of content on Telemundo, which has given way to reality shows in recent years, as people connect a lot with these competitions, as shown by ‘La Casa de los Famosos’, ‘Top Chef VIP’ and ‘Los 50’.
Now this experience recorded in Turkey is another space for the public to recreate with a format full of spectacular landscapes and difficult situations for the artists.
