Former US President Donald Trump rose from the ground on Saturday after being forced to take cover following a shooting that occurred during a political rally in Pennsylvania.

The images show the Republican candidate standing up, with blood on his face from a wound on his right ear, surrounded by his security team, who were protecting him.

Donald Trump, amidst the chaos and concern that was generated, made a gesture of strength with his right arm and the message he was sending to the people listening to his speech could be read on his lips: “Fight, fight, fight!”

It is also clear that the politician was dismayed by the situation.

How is Donald Trump’s health?

Former President Donald Trump is in stable condition, according to his campaign team, Democratic President Joe Biden and the US Secret Service.

The Republican posted a message on his social network Truth in which he gave some details about what happened: a bullet went through the top of his right ear and he began to bleed profusely. At that moment, he said, he realized the danger he was in.

That was captured on video. The images show the candidate, who will be officially inaugurated on Monday at the Republican National Convention, touching the right side of his head and then throwing himself to the floor, taking cover behind the podium where he was giving his speech.

“I knew immediately that something was wrong because I heard a whistling sound, gunshots and immediately felt the bullet go through my skin,” he said.

The Secret Service immediately surrounded him to protect him and later he was transferred to a medical center. “The most important thing is that I want to express my condolences to the family of the person who died in the demonstration and also to the family of another person who was seriously injured. It is incredible that such an act could happen in our country,” he said.
