Local resident Myrna Johnson experienced a life-changing moment while playing the Virginia Lottery’s MONOPOLY Progressive Jackpots game from the comfort of her home on an app on her phone.
Johnson won the jackpot, taking home a whopping $617,229.
The thrill of the win was overwhelming for Johnson. “At first, I couldn’t even believe it!” she told Virginia Lottery officials.
“I couldn’t stop screaming! My kids thought something was wrong!” she added.
His fortunes changed during what appeared to be another online gambling session through the Virginia Lottery app, which offers a variety of games including MONOPOLY Progressive Jackpots.
This game is known for its increasing jackpot as more players participate.
The odds of winning any prize in the game of MONOPOLY are approximately 1 in 4.68.
In Virginia, players can also participate in other online lottery games such as Powerball and Mega Millions, as long as they are at least 18 years old and located within the state.
