The United States national anthem is considered by many to be one of the most proud pieces of music for attendees to hear at any event, but what was seen this Monday at Global Life Field in Texas during the Home Run Derby disappointed more than one person with the performance of vocalist Ingrid Andress.
As part of the event’s presentation, Andress took the microphone and sang the notes of the national anthem, but she did it in such a way that it was classified on social media as the worst performance in the history of any show in the United States.
Many Internet users even compared what was seen on Monday with the performance of Black Eyed Peas member Fergie during an NBA All-Star Game, in which members of both teams were also seen laughing at the presentation.
With memes and mockery, the four-time Grammy nominee’s singing generated laughter in the stadium stands, even prompting jokes among the members of the Home Run Derby and players who will play in the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on Tuesday at the same venue.
