The All-Star Game for the 2024 Major League Baseball season will be held this Tuesday at Globe Life Field in Texas. The game will feature the best players from the National League and the American League.

For this game, a Texas Rangers legend is confirmed to throw out the first pitch. This will be Dominican Adrian Beltre, who played for eight seasons in the stadium where the All Star Game will be played tonight.

Beltré will also be joined at Globe Life Field on the night by other Rangers legends such as pitchers Fergie Jenkins and Nolan Ryan, as well as Puerto Rican catcher Iván Rodríguez.

Beltré and Rodríguez are also ambassadors for the All Star Game this week, and the Dominican was the manager of the American League team in the Futures Game over the weekend.

Beltré prepares to be immortalized in Cooperstown

This Sunday, July 21, at the Clark Sports Center in Cooperstown, New York, the official ceremony will be held in which three new members will be inducted into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

Among these names is that of Dominican Adrian Beltre, who for this edition managed to obtain 95% of the votes to reach Cooperstown.

Beltré will join Juan Marichal, Pedro Martínez, Vladimir Guerrero and David Ortiz as the only Dominicans immortalized in the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame.

Beltré played for 21 seasons in the Majors and had a career average of .286 with 477 home runs, 1,707 RBIs and 3,166 hits.
