Iconic singer Madonna shared on her Instagram account that she is working on her biopic, titled “Who’s That Girl.”

The name appears to be a nod to its eponymous film, soundtrack and song, all of which were released in 1987.

Fans who sued Madonna for starting a concert late, voluntarily drop the complaint

The 65-year-old “Queen of Pop” posted a video on her social media that includes a series of images, where she appears sitting in front of a typewriter: “I need a lot of bands to do this… RIGHT. (The story of my life),” she posted.

In other postcards, he is seen reviewing and modifying the supposed script, which he notes was “rewritten by Madonna and ECW” (Erin Cressida Wilson, playwright and screenwriter).

The project is expected to immerse the audience in the most intimate and significant moments of Madonna’s life, from her beginnings in Detroit to becoming a global superstar. It will also be a unique opportunity for her to tell her story from an intimate and personal perspective.

It is worth mentioning that in early 2023 it had been revealed that Madonna was going to direct a film about her life and career, the script for which she co-wrote with Diablo Cody and Erin Cressida Wilson, but that Universal Pictures cancelled the project. In addition, actress Julia Garner had been chosen by the actress herself to embody her in the plot. According to the Deadline portal, Garner remains her first choice.

Entertainment Weekly reports that to get the role, Julia Garner had to pass a demanding casting call that also included actresses such as Florence Pugh, Alexa Demie, Odessa Young, Emma Laird and Sky Ferreira. All of them had to go through exhaustive choreography sessions, frequent script readings and rehearsals with the Madonna.
