Shiloh Nouvel, the biological daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has taken a new step in her process to permanently remove her father’s surname, Pitt, after having initiated the procedure in recent months.
On this occasion, the daughter of the former couple of actors announced in the newspaper “LA Times” that she filed a petition to change her name from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.
The 18-year-old’s action is part of the process to remove her father’s surname, as the announcement allows anyone to file an objection to the petition. If no one voices dissatisfaction with Shiloh’s action, a judge will take up the petition and proceed with the litigation.
Brad Pitt’s children distance themselves from him
Prior to Shiloh’s recent move to omit her father’s surname, various media outlets reported that the young woman had officially initiated the process last May after turning 18 that same month.
So far, the Oscar-winning actor for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” has not commented on the situation. Meanwhile, the actress from “Tomb Raider” has not stated her position either.
Shiloh Nouvel’s work joins what her brothers have done in previous periods in various ways. In previous months, it was revealed that the actors’ other biological daughter, Vivienne, decided to remove the actor’s surname from her name in the credits of the play “The Outsiders” in which she served as producer with her mother.
Similarly, and months ago, the stars’ first adopted daughter, Zahara, also decided to remove her father’s last name after being accepted into the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia.
In addition to all of the above, another of Jolie and Pitt’s adopted children, Pax, would have a dispute with the actor due to the alleged incident they experienced years ago on a private plane where the American had attacked Angelina and Pax himself while under the influence of alcohol.
For this reason, the young man would have published a message on his Instagram account in which he would refer to the actor, in the framework of Father’s Day in 2020, as a “world-class imbecile”, in addition to mentioning that he is a “terrible and despicable” person.
According to the same information, the message was later deleted by Pax himself, casting doubt on the message.
