Gala Montes is facing a new controversy after revealing that she is “dating” Bárbara Islas, which would have been a surprise for the host. Many have criticized the actress for supposedly “outing her” in a disrespectful and inconsiderate way, although she had already shared a video where they are kissing.
In addition, the Mexican held a meeting with the press where she was asked about what she had said during the broadcast in which Islas was exposed and she answered that: “No (she said anything to me), we talked about it. That is what she talked about… Yes, we talked about it, but Bárbara is from Puebla… my friend is from Puebla… I wasn’t ready for that yet, but, well, ask her.”
Islas reacted nervously to Montes’ statements during a live broadcast with influencer Pablo Chagra, where she appears uncomfortable and trying to divert the topic. Many have expressed their support for the host and have criticized Montes for publicly exposing what they do without her consent.
“We made a TikTok, look at it, we kissed, and nothing… I adore Barbara, I think she is a very beautiful woman,” he added in front of reporters.
On the possibility of having a romantic relationship with Islas, he said: “It would be great, I really love her, I have always told her ‘my friendship with you is separate from whatever happens’, but she is a woman I admire, who I feel deserves more recognition than she has, she is a super hard-working, super intelligent woman.”
The situation has caused a great deal of controversy on social media, with many users saying that people’s privacy should be respected and they should not be involved in situations of this type without their permission.
“I used to say, ‘we look a lot alike.’ Then she would fight with her boyfriend, I would fight with mine, and jokingly we would say, ‘Oh, we should be girlfriends,’ and hopefully it will come true, but Barbara felt uncomfortable… but I’m telling you, we talked about it, and ask her, and if not, she wouldn’t have made the TikToks with me,” she added during the conversation with the press.
