After it was revealed in previous weeks that the horror parody saga “Scary Movie” would have a new film, actress Anna Faris, who starred in 4 of the 5 films in the franchise, mentioned that she would reprise her role under two conditions.
During a chat with People, the “Mom” actress confessed that she would not be “bad-minded” about returning to the saga that put her at the top of the Hollywood industry if she was offered an acceptable amount of money.
He also confirmed that the “Scary Movie” films played an “important role” in his life in regards to his involvement in comedy films.
If there is a comparison of my growing up experience to high school, those four movies played a big role in my life in terms of teaching me how to accessorize.”
What is the other condition under which Anna Faris would return to “Scary Movie”?
During the same conversation, the ex-partner of actor Chris Patt also revealed that the other condition for her to return to “Scary Movie” would be the return of her co-star Regina Hall, who accompanied her in the same 4 films.
I would love to work with Regina again. I love her so much. We would laugh all day long. Regina Hall would be my answer. And money. But most of all Regina!
For 6 years, Faris and Hall became the actresses with the greatest consistency within the franchise until the fifth film, released in 2009, which featured the participation of actress Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, among others. During this period, Farris gave life to Cindy Campbell, while Hall personified Brenda Meeks, characters that are involved in dozens of situations that parody a large number of films such as “War of the Worlds”, “Saw”, “The Village”, “Signs”, among others.
“Scary Movie” returns
Prior to Faris’ recent interview, the alliance between Paramount Studios and Miramax confirmed that the saga would have a new film under the direction of Neal H. Moritz, known for his work behind one of the most successful franchises in cinema: “Fast and Furious.”
Even without an exact release date, it was revealed that the film would begin shooting in the fall of this year to be released sometime in 2025.
Regarding the reboot of the “Scary Movie” saga, it has been mentioned that the film would be based on two of the highest-grossing horror films of recent months: “M3GAN” and “Five Nights at Freddy’s.”
