Lupillo Rivera, a singer of regional Mexican music, spoke about the birth of Mayeli Alonso’s son with Andy Ruiz. This is due to the relationship he had in the past with the businesswoman, which was so intense that they even got married.
In a meeting with the media, the ‘Toro del Corrido’ said that he did not know that his ex had another baby on July 2, but that he is very happy that she has started a family with the boxer.
“I can’t comment on anything because I don’t like to be disrespectful. I draw a very strong line because it’s another family, it belongs to another person and I don’t like to cross that line ever,” she said.
He then explained that he preferred to stay out of the loop on the issue, mostly out of respect.
A curious fact is that the girl was born on the exact same day as Jenni Rivera, but Lupillo Rivera did not want to go into this detail either.
“Days are days, those should be left to the people who really deserve them. My sister, on July 2, I have a cousin who was born on July 2, my daughter who was born on July 9, so July 2 is very special and belongs to my sister Jenni,” she said.
These statements were analyzed in programs such as ‘Despierta América’, where some presenters, such as Jessi Valeri, were surprised that the artist did not know that his ex had recently welcomed a new daughter.
“I am surprised that he says he did not know that Mayeli Alonso had a child on July 2, that was published everywhere, of course he saw it,” she said.
For her part, Monse Medina commented: “What draws my attention is when they ask her and she says ‘I don’t want to disrespect her’, but why would she disrespect her? She handled it very well, but that line can be interpreted as meaning that everything she has to say could be disrespectful to that family and she better keep it to herself.”
The commentator indicated that Lupillo Rivera has handled this type of interview better than on other occasions.
