For several months now, there has been talk of a possible auction of Venus and Serena Williams’ childhood home, but it has now been reported that the tennis players’ stepmother has managed to pay off the debt on the property and even managed to sell it.

In April of this year, it was reported that Lakeisha Williams, stepmother of Venus and Serena Williams, was awaiting sentencing on the family home in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. It should be recalled that the woman was accused of burglarizing the family home by forging Richard Williams’ signature.

Lakeisha not only kept the property illegally, but she also stopped covering the debt that the property had and this kept growing, so it was expected that the place would be auctioned off to cover the debt.

Although it is not known how, the stepmother of the tennis couple managed to cover the debt that reached $600,000 dollars. The debt was paid just 24 hours before the property was auctioned.

The Sun reported that the property was purchased by an LLC called Hardy Firm, which is related to Darrious Christian, an agent and businessman based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is also implied that the new owner is related to Lakeisha’s family.

The Sun claims that the man was involved in several failed business ventures in which the woman was also involved. It even seems that they were both living together in the same controversial property.

It should be remembered that Richard Williams asked the woman for a divorce in 2017 after realizing that she had forged his signature and that she had stolen much more from him during the time of their relationship.
