After Gabriel Soto announced on social media a few days ago that he and Irina Baeva had decided to end their relationship of more than five years, now, the Russian decided to break the silence in an exclusive interview for ¡Hola! magazine, assuring that the breakup took her by surprise and that days before the news they were still together.

“The statement was published without my consent. I did not write it. I don’t know why my name is there. Yes, I was notified and it did take me by surprise because we were together days before this,” Baeva clarified.
Regarding the statements that Gabriel Soto recently made outside the Teatro Centenario Coyoacán, about how their relationship was already dragging several problems and that they tried to solve them with couples therapy; also, when he was asked if Irina had been unfaithful to him, he said that he could not answer for the actions of others, opening up a possibility that this was the case, the blonde took the opportunity to deny the rumors.
“I have never been unfaithful to anyone in any of my relationships. People who know me know that I am the most loyal person. And when I am fully involved with a partner, there is no way I would look away, not even by mistake. That simply does not exist. There is no other person for me. At the moment when I am with someone sharing my life and building a family, there never was one, never,” she said.
Irina Baeva and Gabriel Soto met in 2016, during the filming of the soap opera “Vino el Amor”. The two grew closer and fell in love while Soto was separating from his ex-wife Geraldine Bazán, mother of his two daughters, Alexa Miranda and Elisa Marie. After two years of marriage and nine years of relationship, Soto announced his separation from Bazán in November 2017.
It was in February 2019 when they both confirmed their romance with a photo on Valentine’s Day. Irina was pointed out as the third wheel in that relationship. After overcoming a period of criticism, they got engaged in 2020, but the wedding never took place.

“Through this message, with the deepest respect and affection, we want to communicate that after several years of love, support and commitment, we have made the decision to end our relationship,” reads the beginning of the text.
“These have been years of learning and experiences that will remain with both of us and for which we will always be grateful,” the letter adds.
“We have made this decision after several months of reflection, with wisdom and maturity; the reasons will remain within our inner circle. We are grateful in advance for allowing us to navigate this situation with discretion and respect. Sincerely, Gabriel Soto and Irina Baeva,” they concluded.
