The United States National Team has hired former Venezuelan national team player Luis Manuel Seijas as the head scout for the central region of the country, with the goal of discovering new talent to join the USMNT and help grow American soccer.

The news was announced by Telemundo Deportes analyst and commentator Walter Roque through his profile on X. “USMNT hired Luis Manuel Seijas as Head Scout in the US Central Zone,” he reported.

In his post, he also took the opportunity to express his happiness for the signing, which he considers a recognition of a former player who has been developing in the area. “News that gives me great joy and pride knowing how he has worked. It is a recognition of his ability and constant evolution in the area. Many successes and blessings, dear friend,” he said.

Although the United States national team has not made any official announcement of Seijas’ signing, the player himself ended up indirectly confirming it when he responded to Roque’s post. “Thank you very much, dear brother. We continue to grow,” he commented.

He also confirmed this on his LinkedIn profile, where several days ago he posted his new position as “Talent ID Manager Central.” From December 2023 to July of this year, he served as a scout for Atlanta United for eight months.
