The New York Yankees are looking for relievers on the trade market and one of their targets is Chad Green, a former pitcher for the club who has had a great season with the Toronto Blue Jays.

From 2017 through 2022, Green was one of the most effective relievers in high-pressure situations in all of baseball, posting a 2.96 ERA and a 27.3% strikeout-to-walk ratio with the Yankees.

He’s enjoying a stellar season with the Blue Jays. And now it’s possible the right-hander could end up back in the Bronx.

The Yankees are interested in re-signing Green, MLB Network analyst Jon Paul Morosi said. The 33-year-old has a 1.88 ERA and 0.98 WHIP in 28.1 innings in his second year with Toronto. He is under contract through 2025 and will make $10.5 million in 2025.
