This Wednesday, July 24, Colombian actress Ana María Orozco announced great news for all fans of the soap opera ‘Yo soy Betty, la fea’: the iconic blue house where she lived with her parents can now be rented.
This announcement comes a week after ‘Betty, la fea: la historia continua’ premiered on Amazon Prime. It should be noted that this 10-episode series is the continuation of the Colombian telenovela that premiered in 1999.
At the moment, the first two episodes are available, but in them we could see that Beatriz Pinzón Solano (Ana María Orozco) returned to her parents’ house, so the blue house is still part of the story.
Since the soap opera premiered in 1999, this house has become a tourist spot in Bogotá, Colombia, so it is no surprise that it is now being offered through the Airbnb platform.
In the announcement made by Orozco on her Instagram account, she wrote: “For the first time in history, Betty opens the doors of her house (with the permission of Don Hermes) on Airbnb. So divine! Learn the most intimate secrets of her diary, dress in her style and have her blackberry juice for breakfast. Reservations open on July 31 at 11 am Colombia time.”
Those interested in renting the property will have to act quickly, as only one person will be able to reserve for August 10.
The Airbnb website describes the house: “It is located in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Bogotá. I want to open my doors to you so you can enjoy a unique, well-appointed experience and immerse yourself in some of the most memorable chapters of my life.”
It should be noted that the interior of the property is decorated like the newly released series, and not like the 1999 soap opera.
The guest and his companion will be able to access the closet and wear the protagonist’s clothes, they will be able to eat the Bogotá breakfast and they will be able to access Betty’s diary.
