This Friday will be the Opening Ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and more than 200 countries will parade in their luxurious outfits and cultural references.

Among them will be the Latin American countries, who always bring out the colours of the region with their flag bearers.

Two athletes from each country will carry the flag, one man and one woman, to demonstrate the equality that these Olympic Games represent.

The athletes were selected by vote for the female and male athlete divisions, which we will be able to follow throughout the Olympic event.

Maria Jose Ribera (Swimming) and Hector Garibay (Athletics)
