Chilean-born actor Pedro Pascal, who will play Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, shared the first images from the start of filming for “Fantastic 4,” alongside his co-stars Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman; Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch; and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.

In the image shared by the interpreter of “The Last Of Us”, the main cast of the film can be seen in what appears to be a location that resembles a mansion.

Similarly, in another of the images shared by the artist, the film’s director, Matt Shakman, appears smiling next to a staircase and wearing headphones around his neck.

A new era begins at Marvel

Following Pascal’s post, a large number of fans couldn’t help but react to it through dozens of comments in which they celebrated the start of filming of the movie as well as highlighting their excitement about seeing the film.

The South American actor’s post takes place exactly one year before the planned release of the film about the first family of Marvel superheroes on July 25, 2025, which will mark a turning point in the future of the company’s next projects.

And after Disney bought 20th Century Fox a few years ago, the inclusion of this group of superheroes in the current Marvel Cinematic Universe has become one of the biggest questions among fans.

Likewise, and due to the early introduction of mutants to Marvel films, as well as the change of direction of the fourth phase of the MCU, due to the departure of Jonathan Majors as the villain Kang: The Conqueror, it has been speculated that the Fantastic Four will become one of the main groups of superheroes, along with the mutants, in the fifth and subsequent phases of the studio.

Regarding the synopsis of the film, of which very little has been revealed due to Marvel’s policy of avoiding spoilers, it has been speculated that it will be set in the 1960s, a time when Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben were already established as superheroes. This would have greater relevance when the first poster of the film was released, in which the characters appear dressed in their typical costumes and various elements of that era.
