The culmination of Karol G’s successful tour, “Mañana Será Bonito Tour 2024”, on July 23 at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid, has once again become the subject of controversy after it was revealed in recent days that an attendee at the Colombian singer’s last concert had died due to a “confusion”.
On this occasion, it was the neighbours of the sports and entertainment venue who have once again raised their voices against the concerts held at the Real Madrid stadium due to the intense noise generated during a show.
In previous months, during the performances of the American singer Taylor Swift, the settlers in the vicinity of the Spanish stadium spoke out against the holding of this type of event. However, despite the measures established such as the restriction of rehearsal times as well as the end of concerts before 11 pm, the recent 4 shows that the interpreter of “Tusa” gave at the Bernabéu caused the Association of People Affected by the Bernabéu, headed by Enrique Martínez de Azagra, to request the prohibition of further concerts.
What they have to do is close the stadium for this type of activities, which are not licensed, do not have a license, are not soundproofed and, therefore, they should stop this nonsense. You are going to take away half an hour of theoretical harm from me, but you are going to continue violating the law?
Karol G’s closing is overshadowed by various events
During the same conversation that EFE had with another resident of the Madrid stadium, it was revealed that not only the concerts held there affect the population, but also the various matches of the local team generate unrest and anxiety among the residents: “In the worst cases we have had up to three macro events lasting seven hours in a row on consecutive days.”
The massification of events inside the Santiago Bernabéu stadium began after the stadium was reopened last April due to its remodeling to host sporting, musical and business events.
For the above reasons, and for more than 3 months, the neighbors have been affected by the noise caused there, something that became more evident after Karol G offered 4 concerts, consecutively, from July 21 to 23.
In addition to the above, and as part of the Colombian concert’s grey closing in Madrid, the death of a concertgoer at the 23rd of July concert was reported after he was attacked by “mistake.”
According to what was revealed, the fan was making a video call with his girlfriend and showing her how the people had dressed for the concert. Faced with this, two women thought that the man was filming them without their consent, so they reacted to the action. Faced with this, another subject who was near the area, attacked the first as a way of defending the women, causing him to fall to the ground and be taken to a hospital, where he died hours later.
