This Saturday, at the Santiago Bernabéu, Real Madrid officially presented Endrick as a new player for the white team. The 18-year-old Brazilian joins the Merengue team for six seasons, so he will be in the Spanish capital until 2030.
Endrick was the protagonist of an emotional presentation in which he gave his first words wearing the white jersey and the young Brazilian even shed a few tears as he admitted that he is fulfilling a dream by joining Real Madrid.
“I have loved Real Madrid since I was a child. I saw Cristiano Ronaldo and because of him I wanted to know a little more about Real Madrid. Years ago I looked up all the idols, including Butragueño. I have been in love with Real Madrid since I was a child. I didn’t want to cry, but it came from the heart,” Endrick began the press conference.
One of the things that surprises about Endrick is how at his young age he already appears to be a great signing for Real Madrid. However, for him this challenge is not about age.
“If God has given me this responsibility it is because he knows that I can be here. Now I have to learn, work. The more I learn, the better,” said the forward.
Endrick commented on the advice his fellow Brazilians have given him since his arrival at Real Madrid. Vinícius, Rodrygo and Militao seem to be the guides for the young promise that arrives at the White House.
“We have talked a lot about what could happen. About winter, about the heat. Also about personal things, about Madrid, about the pitches. Many things. But I am very calm and happy. That makes me feel good. I am looking forward to being able to play for Madrid,” he stressed.
Endrick will undoubtedly have to take things step by step at Real Madrid and, as he himself said, “learn, learn and learn.” He will also have to take advantage of every opportunity he has to earn a place in the team. The young Brazilian closed the press conference with a great desire: “I would like to be here all my life.”
