Mexican Olympic archery medalist Alejandra Valencia was more than excited to have won the bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and said that this represents the second step in what she hopes will be an important career that will allow her to win many more medals at upcoming international events.
The athlete made these statements during an interview with TUDN in which she expressed her excitement at winning her second Olympic medal and demonstrated that she has the qualities to remain at the top of the sport.
“I am very happy with the medal, my second Olympic medal, and above all, I am grateful to the team, to Angie, Ana Pau, for the work we did. We shot our best shots at the right time and it is a great emotion,” she said.
It is important to note that the Mexican athlete in sport shooting still has two competitions in which she must participate in order to win another medal at the Olympic Games; these are the mixed competition with Matías Grande and the individual competition, where she hopes to maintain the great competitive pace that she has shown at the start of the Olympics.
“Knowing that… it was a good start and now what comes next, it was the first step so to speak, now comes the continuation because this is not over, it is just beginning,” he added.
