New York Yankees outfielder and captain Aaron Judge hit his 41st home run of the 2024 Major League Baseball season on Saturday during the Yankees’ 8-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays and remains on track to set another American League record.

After breaking the record for most home runs in the American League (62) in 2022, which was held by fellow Yankee Roger Maris (61), Judge remains unstoppable as he leads his team this Saturday with two RBIs, two runs scored and the home run with which he remains in the race to once again break his own record.

This Saturday, in the first inning alone, El Juez stood out again by taking advantage of a 94 mph sinker thrown by Puerto Rican José Berríos, traveling 426 feet across center field at Yankee Stadium and coming off the bat at 102 mph.

Likewise, of the 41 home runs Judge has accumulated in 2024, 16 of them have been in the first inning to give his team the lead.

The hit, with Juan Soto on base, also led Judge to continue increasing his quota of RBIs (103) and runs scored (87) and served to give the Yankees a 2-0 lead in the first inning.

Judge’s work was also supported by home runs by Anthony Volpe and Trent Grisham, which gave pitcher Carlos Rodón (12-7) his third consecutive victory.
