FC Juárez has worked hard in recent weeks to be able to have a strong squad with which they can put aside these last few negative years and be able to qualify for the Liguilla of the 2024 Apertura tournament of the Liga MX to be able to fight for a championship title.

For this reason, the board of directors of the border team announced the signing of defender Carlos Salcedo, who arrives from the Cruz Azul Machine after the controversial departure he registered following the death of his sister to live his second experience within the Titan; he was already with the club in the 2022-23 season of the Liga MX.

The information was released by FC Juárez through a statement on its account on the social network X (formerly Twitter), where they showed their excitement at being able to count on this experienced figure again, with whom they hope to have a better competitive level in defense to avoid being victims of goals from rival teams.

“The 30-year-old footballer, born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, will experience a second stage with the Juarez team after the one he had for a year in the 2022-23 season and in which he played 30 games and 2,688 minutes with the Bravos,” the club said.

“In total, Salcedo has played more than 290 games in the first division, as well as an international career in four different countries, including Italian Serie A with Fiorentina and the German Bundesliga with Eintracht Frankfurt,” the statement added.

Salcedo, 30, played a total of 36 games defending the colors of the Cruz Azul Machine, including the final of the Clausura 2024 tournament of the Liga MX in which they were defeated by the Águilas of Club América.

The blue team announced the departure of Carlos Salcedo by mutual agreement and wished him the best of success in his new professional stage; this event occurred on July 22 and since then he was listening to offers from various Aztec soccer teams until he chose Juárez.

“Cruz Azul Football Club informs its fans that it has agreed to dissolve, jointly with player Carlos Salcedo, the contract that linked him to the team for just over a year,” the cement workers detailed after his departure.
