Luis Miguel has returned to the music scene in style. In addition to the success and impact achieved with his current tour, “Luis Miguel Tour 2024,” the Latin singer has also managed to position himself as one of the most listened to artists on the Spotify streaming platform.
According to the music app’s recent report, the “México en la Piel” singer is among the Top 4 most played solo artists worldwide, to the point of staying at the level of superstars like the late Michael Jackson or the living legend Elton John.
As mentioned in Spotify’s report, through its Most Streamed Legacy Soloist list, Luis Miguel has obtained 11.952 billion plays thanks to his extensive musical legacy.
Luis Miguel surpasses David Bowie, Britney Spears, among others
In the same report, Michael Jackson is at the top of the ranking with just over 15 billion streams. Meanwhile, the singer of “Your Song” is in second place with 14.22 billion streams.
A little below Jackson and Elton is the Brazilian singer Marília Mendoça with 12.2 billion views, being the best positioned Latin singer on the entire list.
The number of streams obtained by Luis Miguel places him in fourth place on the list, which also gives him the title of the Spanish-language singer with the highest number of plays in the entire history of Spotify.
Luis Miguel’s fourth place takes on greater relevance because with his more than 11,000 billion reproductions, he beat singers of the stature of Frank Sinatra, Madonna, David Bowie, Mariah Carey and Britney Spears.
The rest of the list also includes Whitney Houston, with 6.505 billion streams; Stevie Wonder, with 6.323 billion; Amy Winehouse, with 6.273 billion; Phil Collins, with 5.330 billion; Bryan Adams, with 5.220 billion, as well as Celine Dion with 5.152 billion.

According to the same site, the Mexican singer left behind Colombian singer Karol G with her “Mañana Será Bonito Tour” and Bad Bunny with his “Most Wanted Tour.”
