Spanish singer Rosalía gave her fans a “musical gift” after months of not releasing new material by announcing her upcoming collaboration with Korean singer Lisa from the band Blackpink.
Through their social networks, and those of the Asian singer herself, both stars shared a photograph of themselves, dressed in various clothes in what appears to be a recording studio.
Similarly, and as a way to create mystery regarding their upcoming collaboration, the singers only mentioned the name of the song, “New Woman,” which will premiere on August 15 at 8:00 p.m. (EST) and August 16 at 9:00 a.m. (KST).
What will Rosalía’s new song be about?
Despite the little information revealed so far, it seems logical to think that the interpreter of “Motomami”, recognized for her musical innovation and her ability to add new styles to her renowned career, will venture into K-Pop due to Lisa’s undeniable presence within this genre thanks to her band Blackpink.
Likewise, and thanks to the title of the song itself, we can expect Rosalía’s new collaboration, the most recent after her work with legendary artist Björk with “Oral” at the end of 2023, to feature a theme of female empowerment.
Prior to this announcement, Rosalía herself shared, through her TikTok account, a short video in which she showed a kind of preview of a song, so it has been speculated that this could correspond to her next collaboration with Lisa.

Even with several questions still to be answered, Rosalía’s next song could mean the beginning or first preamble of what the Catalan singer’s new album will be. Over the last few months, the interpreter of “Despechá” has been involved in a large number of rumors about what her next album will be about.
Through social media, it has been spread that Rosalía would be experimenting within Rock and Roll, in addition to dealing with a large number of topics related to grief, joy, among others.

Also, and more recently, there was speculation that the singer would have a collaboration, in addition to the already confirmed one, with the Argentine producer Bizarrap, due to his presence in Barcelona at the same time as Rosalía, and with the singer and composer Charli XCX.
Finally, and thanks to a post by the Spaniard on her Instagram account, where she pointed out that “somethings were coming”, everything seems to indicate that we are very close to seeing Rosalía’s new work.
