Kanye West’s recent release of his song “Drunk” has been embroiled in controversy over the “risky” last-minute change he made: he replaced Bad Bunny with Peso Pluma.

Prior to the release of “Drunk,” which is part of the deluxe edition of his latest album “Vultures 2,” the producer also announced “Bad Bunny” as well as singers Kodak Black and Ty Dolla Sign, as part of his song, which was released along with other compositions such as “Believer” and “Gun To My Head.”

However, and surprisingly, West decided to leave out the interpreter of “Tití Me Preguntó” in the new release, of the same song but in its deluxe version, and include the singer of corridos tumbados.

Why did Kanye West leave out Bad Bunny?

Regarding the reason why Kanye West decided to leave Bad Bunny out of the song, various media outlets and fans of both singers have mentioned that the first announcement, where the Puerto Rican was confirmed in the song, could have been a mistake.

Others, meanwhile, have mentioned that Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband could have left out Bad Bunny because Peso Pluma has become one of the artists with the greatest projection today, in addition to having more “weight” than Bad Bunny at this time.

Likewise, it has been rumored that West decided to collaborate with Peso Pluma, instead of Bad Bunny, due to the recent work he did, as a producer, on the song “Gimme a Second” ft. Rich The Kid, from the Mexican’s album “Éxodo”.

After the release of the song “Drunk,” dozens of Bad Bunny fans did not miss the opportunity to show their discontent with the decision of the interpreter of “Power.” Likewise, the first unofficial version of the song went viral, in which Bad Bunny can be heard interpreting a phrase.

This line, sung by Kendall Jenner’s boyfriend, corresponds to a joint song between Bad Bunny, J Balvin and Tory Lanez that was not officially released.

So far, and following the release of “Drunk,” none of those involved in the song have mentioned or revealed official information regarding West’s decision to replace Bad Bunny with Peso Pluma.

Currently, and after suffering a fracture in the middle of a show that forced him to undergo surgery, Peso Pluma is immersed in his “Éxodo Tour 2024” tour in the United States.
