In the reality show, the journalist assured that the two had something very close, to the point that she called him “her hubby.”
The host did not like this comment and that is why there was a lot of tension at the meeting they had on Friday, where they were able to tell each other their things face to face.
On the show, Shanik Berman was quite clear and explained the intention of her message: “I would like you to give classes on how to be a good son. If there is someone in this world, and I know for a fact and I have said it until I am tired, who is the best son in the world, it is Marco Antonio Regil. I would like my daughter to be like Marco Antonio Regil with me, from now until I grow old and go to heaven. Marco Antonio Regil has very good karma because the main commandment is that you shall honor your mother and your father, you shall not honor your children.”
The journalist commented that she lives off her reputation and that she did not distort any information. “I think, let’s see, first, if what I said hurt you, I beg you to forgive me for having hurt you because the only thing in my life that I would never want to do is hurt someone that I love after so many years.”
Marco Antonio Regil, after listening to her, reacted: “It hurt me to hear this, not only because it completely changed the truth, but because it came from someone I esteem. I love her and I said: why are you talking about this? It did hurt me.”
She added: “You are judging a four-year-old child, with a mother in the middle of menopause, who had an alcoholic husband and raised three children. For me, it is a sacred story and it did hurt me that you touched it.”
