After several images and videos of Shakira having dinner with a mysterious man in Miami went viral in recent days, the media outlet TardeAR revealed the identity of said subject.
After the first evidence was released, a large number of the Colombian’s followers, as well as some media outlets, claimed that the enigmatic man was the Spaniard Alejandro Sanz, known for being one of Shakira’s greatest friends and, even, her alleged love interest for a long time.
However, despite the euphoria caused by the alleged date between Shakira and Sanz that would confirm their relationship, the media TardeAR revealed that the person with whom the interpreter of “Waka Waka” shared a moment is Antonio de la Rúa, one of the singer’s most famous ex-partners.
Why did Antonio de la Rúa and Shakira have dinner together?
According to journalist Alex Rodriguez, during the same show, the meeting between Shakira and the Argentine, who had a relationship of 11 years until 2011, was far from being a romantic date, as many people pointed out before knowing the identity of the man.
According to what was revealed, de la Rúa was in Miami with the sole intention of discussing work issues with his ex-partner, something that both celebrities have been doing for the last few months.

Similarly, and according to what was revealed by a source close to Shakira, the Colombian singer’s former manager would be acting as an accountant for the Latin star, something that the singer herself would have demanded due to the trust that exists between the two.
Despite the above, the South American couple, who ended their relationship after Shakira became romantically linked to former Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué in 2010, maintained a legal dispute in which Antonio accused the Colombian of illegally appropriating more than $6 million dollars.
The above was resolved a few months later when it was revealed that de la Rúa had received a property as a form of “payment.”

So far, and after the revelation of Antonio’s identity at the meeting with Shakira, none of those involved have mentioned or revealed any information about it.
After months of various performances and participation in various shows and events, Shakira will begin her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” next November in the United States.
