The New York City Office of Emergency Management reported that by midday winds of 45 mph had been recorded in Queens and 43 mph in the Bronx.

Amtrak said its trains are experiencing delays between New York’s Penn Station and Stamford, Connecticut, due to fallen trees blocking the tracks.
