A Hispanic migrant who receives orders for food and products through the Instacart app and then delivers them to homes in New York City revealed how much money he earns. Ramón Rojas, of Dominican origin, says he has been doing this for four years and it has allowed him to earn extra money.

Rojas doesn’t have a set schedule, but he starts his day at 4:00 p.m. and goes to 9:00 p.m. “It’s a schedule that suits me because there are people who do this for a whole day, full time,” says Dominican vlogger Alfy Tavarez.

Rojas has a steady job, where he does have to keep to a set schedule, but which gives him the option of working on Instacart in the afternoons. “For me it’s a hobby, it’s not mandatory. I have fun and I like it,” he says.

What does it take to work with Instacart in New York?

The migrant explains what a person needs to start working for Instacart in New York. Basically, he says that a vehicle, a current license and an application.

The young man waits approximately 15 to 30 minutes to receive orders and says that he prefers short distances to avoid wasting time in traffic. “I recommend that people have two or three fixed establishments,” he adds.
