Argentine Julián Álvarez is already in Madrid, where he arrived on Sunday afternoon to finalize his signing with Atlético de Madrid, after passing the corresponding medical examination.
The 24-year-old striker was captured on video arriving at the private flights terminal at Barajas airport and then leaving the premises, where he was greeted enthusiastically by a group of Atletico fans.
Joining from Manchester City, Alvarez will undergo a medical with his new team, presumably on Monday. He will then visit the Metropolitano stadium, where he will sign his contract with the club managed by Diego Pablo Simeone.
Julián Álvarez will become Atlético’s fourth signing for the season that starts next weekend.
Before him, Spanish defender of French origin Robin Le Normand and Norwegian striker Alexander Sorloth had already been officially signed. English midfielder Conor Gallagher, who was the third addition, has already started training with the Madrid team, although his official registration is still pending.
