The controversial statements that Peso Pluma made a few weeks ago, in which he called himself a “superhero” and the “savior” of regional Mexican music, continue to generate responses and reactions in the Mexican music community itself. On this occasion, it was the former vocalist of Banda El Recodo, Julio Preciado, who spoke out on the matter with a forceful response to the interpreter of “Ella Baila Sola.”

During a recent interview on the program “Sale el Sol” on the Imagen Televisión network, the singer from Sinaloa was questioned about Peso Pluma’s recent statements, making it clear that the Jalisco native still has “a long way to go” to be called the “savior of regional Mexican music.”

I think he is the messiah of the grupera wave. The truth is that I think he is lacking a lot. Messiahs do not exist here. We, the people who should be working, continue to work and what is successful right now. Good luck to them.”

Julio Preciado also attacks Natanael Cano

In addition to his criticism of the singer of corridos tumbados, Julio Preciado was also questioned about the recent controversy between Natanael Cano and Luis Miguel, which originated when the young singer called “El Sol de México” an “old man” during a live show.

Faced with this, dozens of users did not hesitate to show their annoyance towards the Sonora native, mentioning the difference in reputation and career that exists between Cano and the interpreter of “La Incondicional.”

For this reason, Preciado recommended that the “Madonna” singer should concentrate on maintaining his energy and vitality to “reach” Luis Miguel’s age: “Oh, please, I hope you reach Luis Miguel’s age and have that energy, that you have that talent and the success that Luis Miguel has, just with that and selling more tickets than anyone else.”

Finally, and during the same interview, the singer from Sinaloa revealed that next year he will retire from the stage in order to concentrate on his family and his recent grandson, son of Yuliana Preciado, who was born last June.

It is not common to see artists who are aware of the effort it represents for their fans to buy a ticket to go see them, among those few is Peso Pluma.
