Daniel Arenas, who last week announced that he was leaving the program ‘Hoy Día’, was happy because his partner Carlos Calderón was officially hired for the morning show on the Telemundo network.
On his Instagram account, the Colombian dedicated a few words to the Mexican, who has an extensive career on the small screen.
“Well deserved, dear Carlitos, I am very happy about this news. You earned it, not only for all these months of effort and work, but for so many years of dedication, love and affection for this profession,” he wrote.
In addition to this, he recommended that he live every morning to the fullest in this important entertainment space: “Enjoy it as only you know how and continue filling the mornings of our Latin family with joy and love. The baton couldn’t have been left in better hands. A big hug, my Charly, I love you.”
Vanessa Lyon, wife of Carlos Calderón, thanked Daniel Arenas for the gesture: “Dan, you are unique. May God protect your beautiful heart.”
What happened to Daniel Arenas from ‘Hoy Día’?
Surprisingly, the actor also announced last week that he would no longer be on the show, as he closed this cycle that he defined as a great opportunity in his life.
However, there were many comments about his departure, as it happened just after he made comments about Angela Aguilar and Christian Nodal. For many, his words were not well received by the network and that is why they decided to end his participation.
Despite this, Daniel Arenas commented that it was a very personal decision: “I decided 100% of my own free will to close a completely unexpected cycle in my life, and I say unexpected because I didn’t look for it. I have always said that my God put me there and that if it came from him it was because he had a very powerful purpose.”
In this sense, she added: “Today, after everything I have experienced, I understand better than ever that this purpose is (and will continue to be) to champion him, to be his tool, his voice, his example. We are going through a very complicated moment as humanity, where the limits have run out, everything revolves around being a trend or going ‘viral’ for doing something absurd, grotesque or offensive. We no longer know what respect, values or even dignity mean. There is a lot of darkness, family, so we have to be light where it is needed.”
