A 26-year-old immigrant was stabbed in the abdomen during a dispute on Randall’s Island (NYC).

The incident occurred shortly after 10:30 a.m. Sunday near tents used by immigrants outside the shelter. The injured man was admitted to Harlem Hospital in stable condition and the motive for the fight is unclear, the agency said. ABC News. New York police are searching for the attacker.

The stabbing was the latest outbreak of violence on Randall’s Island, which now houses a mega shelter for thousands of asylum seekers. In January, three Hispanic immigrants were charged with stabbing another immigrant to death in a fight.

Two weeks ago, migrant mother Sandra Serrano (44) was shot dead in the face and back from a moped. The gunman also shot two other people in Lot 71 on Randall’s Island: a 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman.

Following the incident on July 29, New York police launched an offensive against mopeds and scooters used by immigrants, in some cases for crimes, he said. New York Post.
