The well-known Mexican television presenter and model, Rebecca de Alba, has used her social media to send a message in which she clarifies rumors about her sexual orientation and her love life.
De Alba has been a public figure for many years and as such, her personal life has often been the subject of attention and speculation.
Except for her relationships with singers Leonardo de Lozanne and Ricky Martin, Rebecca de Alba has chosen to keep her personal life away from the spotlight, which has generated rumors about her sexual orientation, so now she decided to clarify everything.
Through her Instagram account, Rbecca shared an extensive reflection in which she stated that she does not understand why people do not respect the fact that she is not married and is dedicated to seeking her happiness outside the public eye.
“I’m going to tell you something about myself: I’m not a lesbian. I’m not asexual either. I know that many people think or say that just to say something about me or because they are so ignorant and morbid that having had a homosexual boyfriend magically turned me into a woman or a gay person. It’s not contagious, eh. It’s not the flu. I know what those people say or think about me, I promise you it’s irrelevant,” she began.
“I never imagined that being a discreet, reserved person, careful with my personal life, not exposing my partners who are not public, not being married, would not be respected as a simple lifestyle, but rather they directly want to label me, lie to me.
I’m just sharing, I’m not giving explanations. I’m also not disrespecting anyone who has chosen what they want to be and feel they are. I always respect and am supportive.
I’m not going to mention who my boyfriends have been in the past, whether public or anonymous. It’s not relevant,” she added.
Finally, the host thanked her parents for raising her with values and said that she has learned to take negative criticism with a sense of humor, because she knows that this way she has nothing to worry about.
“Thanks to my family who raised me with values and the great virtue of being honest and transparent. And thanks to you for reading a text that could be taken very seriously, but don’t be, no drama. I am free and relaxed, my sense of humor is a door to joy and the enjoyment of life.”
