Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) recipients in the United States will soon receive their direct deposits, with a payment that could reach up to $3,822 for some.
Within the next 24 hours, many of these beneficiaries will see the funds reflected in their bank accounts.
However, not all disabled people qualify for this payment, as there are certain criteria that must be met to be eligible.
The next SSDI payment will be made on August 14, 2024, and will go to those beneficiaries born before the 11th of any month of the year, but not after the 10th.
To receive these payments, individuals must have a disability officially recognized as valid by Social Security.
If your health improves or your condition changes in any way, you must immediately inform the Social Security office, because any change in your health could cause you to no longer be eligible to receive these payments.
The average payment for August recipients is about $1,537, although high-income earners who worked for 35 years, earned the maximum taxable amount and delayed their application for benefits could receive up to $3,822.
For those who do not qualify for the August 14 payment, there are two other important dates in the month to keep an eye on.
Recipients with birth dates between the 11th and the 20th of any month will receive their deposit on August 21. Finally, those born between the 21st and the 31st of any month will see their payment reflected on August 28.
It is important to note that if payment is not received on time, it may be due to a problem with the financial institution processing the deposit, not the Social Security Administration.
