Actress Geraldine Bazán has been making headlines in recent weeks due to the legal battle she has with Maxine Woodside. In her statement shared on Instagram, the Mexican actress expressed her discontent with the journalist’s statements about her relationship with Gabriel Soto and the involvement of her daughters, which led her to take action to protect her image and that of her family.
In a recent interview with Televisa Espectáculos, Geraldine confirmed that she has received a resolution from the authorities, who have notified both Maxine and Radiofórmula about the measures that must be implemented to remedy the damage that, according to her, she has suffered as a result of the statements made on the program “Todo para la Mujer”.
“What happened was that the law granted me precautionary measures, not only for the physical person, but also for the legal entity, which is the company. The law forced me to take down those contents from wherever they could be seen. What interests me is setting a precedent. I am not looking for money or for someone to be put in jail, because that is not the case and it will not go that far, but it does create a precedent. There has to be a limit. How far are we going as a society?” said the actress.
This update suggests that the actress is willing to continue fighting for her integrity and that of her daughters in the legal arena. At the same time, it marks an important step in the process, which could have repercussions on the journalist’s career and on the way in which such comments are handled in the media.
