The British royal family is set to gather at Bamoral Castle once again to enjoy the summer, a tradition that has been going on for years. However, this year’s gathering has sparked controversy because Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not invited.
This summer vacation is also more striking because it is the first summer since it was reported that King Charles III and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton were diagnosed with cancer. Despite the illness, the king and princess will be present at the castle and will be part of the family reunion.
On the other hand, a source close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke about their reaction when they found out they had not been invited. Although it must be remembered that since the couple resigned from their royal duties they have not been taken into account for many activities. In fact, it was recently said that the house they lived in in the United Kingdom has not been occupied by anyone else since their move.
An unnamed source told Closer: “Harry and Meghan aren’t surprised they haven’t been invited, considering they’re not even speaking to each other at the moment, but it feels like a personal attack designed to hurt and embarrass them.”
The same person analyses that what happens to the couple is that this type of actions causes people to continue talking about their relationship and about the controversy that has existed since Meghan’s arrival in the family.
It seems that this latest action has even served as a further impetus for Meghan Markle to consolidate the idea of writing a memoir, in which she will discuss her experience with royalty. This book would be a kind of continuation, from a different point of view, of the book ‘Spare’, published by Prince Harry last year.
