Al-Nassr footballer Cristiano Ronaldo started the 2024-2025 world football season in the best way possible by leading his team to a 2-0 victory over Al-Taawon in the semi-finals of the Saudi Arabian Super Cup with a goal and an assist.
Ronaldo was once again the star of an Al-Nassr side that dominated the entire match but feared the result would slip away after Marcelo Brozovic kicked his opponent and received a red card in the final minutes of the game.
The Bicho show began just 8 minutes into the match when he set up Ayman Yahya for Al-Nassr’s first goal.
Then, at 56′ Ronaldo scored his long-awaited goal seconds after having missed a key opportunity.
It all started when Sultan Al-Ghanam made a run down the right flank, ending with a pass from the right to Cristiano Ronaldo, who sealed the win.
The goal not only served to extend Al-Nassr’s lead but also made Ronaldo the first player in history to formally score in 23 consecutive seasons of world football.
With this victory, Al-Nassr will now seek revenge against Al-Hilal in the final of the Saudi Arabian Super Cup, where Cristiano will seek his first official title with the Asian team.
