Months after the release of her most recent album, “A Mucha Honra,” which became the subject of criticism and accusations for being based on the regional Mexican genre, Thalía once again rekindled the enthusiasm of her followers and fans to see the singer within the musical style that placed her at the top: Latin pop.
Through her official Instagram account, the singer of “A Quién Le Importa” shared a series of images with the caption: “Where magic is born… We are working on some great songs!!! I already want you to hear the new song. Ready?”
In these images, the Mexican singer can be seen working with her team in what appears to be a recording studio. However, due to various details within the same photographs, a large number of Thalía’s followers could not help but show their joy at seeing the artist in the pop scene.
Thalia listens to her fans
After the images were revealed, dozens of people first expressed their desire to see Thalía move away from regional Mexican music after basing her entire previous album on that genre.
And after the release of “A Mucha Honra”, which was considered by the artist herself as a tribute to her roots, fans of the singer reproached her action of “interfering” in this genre because it is booming and growing.
For this reason, and during the promotion of her recent album, users “begged” the singer to leave aside regional Mexican music and focus on pop, which made her famous in the Latin music scene.
Is Thalía preparing her return to pop?
Among the images shown by Thalía, which sparked the spirits of her fans, one stands out in which the artist is working with a small number of collaborators, who use only a keyboard and a guitar, basic elements of a pop song and which are not so common in regional music.
In another image, which became the clearest evidence that Thalía had returned to pop, you can see the image of the legendary musician and singer Prince, one of the greatest representatives of pop dance, pop rock, pop soul, among other genres.
The inclusion of Prince’s image made dozens of Thalía’s followers think that the singer was inspired by the American singer.
Thanks to what we saw in another image, where you can see the screen of a cell phone with the date July 29, it seems that the Mexican could show a first preview of her new work in the following weeks.
