Last Thursday, July 25, actor Kevin Spacey’s house in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor was auctioned off. The property went for $3.2 million and the lucky winner was an investor named Sam Asgari.

Although it was thought that the whole affair between the actor and the house he couldn’t afford was over, the truth is that it is not. Now, Asgari has reported that Spacey does not want to hand over the keys to the residence. He claims that he has been trying to access his new property for the past three weeks.

It should be remembered that the auction of this property was postponed a couple of times, as the actor managed to buy time to try to save the place. But he never succeeded and the auction went ahead. These same delays could be indications that Spacey was not so willing to leave the great house that he bought during his glory days.

Asgari was interviewed by local media outlet ‘Baltimore Banner’ and took the opportunity to explain the situation. “At this point, he is refusing to leave. He is asking for six months to leave the property without paying anything,” he told the outlet.

On the other hand, Edward U. Lee III, Spacey’s lawyer, assured the same media outlet that the accusation is false. Although he apparently did not give many details about the case.

This investor is focused on Baltimore, as this is surely the second property he has bought this year. Months ago he bought the childhood home of Johns Hopkins, who is a well-known American businessman, investor and philanthropist.

It must also be said that the new acquisition is undoubtedly a jewel of the city. Spacey bought this house in 2017 for $5.65 million dollars, but the economic crisis that she entered after being accused of sexual abuse caused her to stop paying the mortgage and that is why it had to be auctioned off.

Asgari will have at his disposal a 9,000-square-foot house spread over five floors with six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a foyer, a living room, a main room, a cinema room, a dining room, a kitchen, a laundry room, a sauna and other amenities.

For now, we have to wait and see how the actor’s lawyers react to this situation and when the new owner of the house will be able to access it.
