The NFL launched its ‘This Is Football Country’ campaign on Friday, featuring stars such as Stefon Diggs, Myles Garrett and DeMarcus Lawrence to promote the 2024 season globally, which begins on September 5.

“This campaign conveys a powerful sentiment. The love and joy that the game brings to communities around the world, no matter who you are, where you are or how you choose to express it,” said Tim Ellis, NFL chief marketing officer.

The video, which can be viewed on the NFL’s YouTube account, is a 60-second piece that seeks to convey a spirit of unity and joy for life as universal values of American football that unite communities around the world.

The production of this piece took place in places such as Brazil, the United States, Japan and Mexico.

The footage begins in the locker room of a group of Lahainaluna High School players, who showed great resilience after the Hawaiian fires that ravaged that community a year ago. These boys were recognized at the last Super Bowl LVIII.

The young people sing the song: “Remember who we are and who we represent.”

The sequence jumps to a Los Angeles Rams women’s flag football team where star Makena Cook joins in the pep rally.

One of the most moving scenes features wheelchair training for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ USA Wheelchair Football League team, a league funded in part through the NFL’s Salute to Service initiative dedicated to honoring U.S. service members and veterans.

Also starring in the video are recently retired Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie.

The piece concludes with a collage featuring Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Dallas Cowboys defensive ends DeMarcus Lawrence and Cleveland Browns defensive ends Myles Garrett in different settings, singing along with children and fans of various teams a rhythmic “All day like… Hoo.”

The video features a guest appearance by Haley Van Voorhis of the Shenandoah Hornets, who made history as the first non-kicker to play in an NCAA football game.
