The next presidential debate between presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The information was confirmed on Friday by the organizing network ABC, which indicated that the event is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10 at 9:00 p.m.
The debate will be held at the National Constitution Center, a leading constitutional think tank located near the site where the U.S. Constitution was drafted and signed.
The nonprofit institution is known for its commitment to constitutional study and discussion from a nonpartisan perspective, Efe reports.
The event will be broadcast on ABC News Live, as well as on Disney+ and Hulu.
Moderation will be provided by David Muir, presenter and editor-in-chief of World News Tonight, and Linsey Davis, host of Prime on ABC News Live.
ABC will also present a pre-debate special entitled Race for the White Househosted by Martha Raddatz, Jonathan Karl, Mary Bruce and Rachel Scott.
The format of the debate has not yet been announced, but it has been reported that all participants must agree to the established rules. In addition, candidates must have at least 15% support in four national surveys of registered voters to be considered eligible.
Eligibility determination will be made after September 3, 2024.
Donald Trump had previously proposed a series of three debates on different networks, but so far only the debate on ABC has been confirmed. In addition, another debate between vice presidential candidates Tim Walz and JD Vance has been scheduled for October 1, moderated by CBS News.
