On the morning of August 16, the MailOnline reported that actress Dakota Johnson and musician Chris Martin had ended their relationship after more than 7 years together.
In the absence of a reliable source, the news quickly went viral on social media, stating that the Coldplay frontman and the “Madame Web” singer had broken off their engagement due to the busy schedules of both stars as well as the complicated distance that exists between them due to their current commitments.
This was reinforced by recent photos of Johnson walking her dog on the streets of Malibu without her engagement ring.
However, despite the variety of rumors and claims, the specialized media TMZ revealed that all of the above was false thanks to what was mentioned by the representative of the interpreter of “Suspiria”.
What did Dakota Johnson’s representative say?
According to the actress’s representative, rumors of a separation between Dakota and Chris are false and have no basis.
In the same message, he even mentioned that the actress and the musician want to maintain their commitment, in addition to making an effort and working on their work commitments in order to be together as much as possible.
The American actress is currently living in California, where she is planning her film and television projects. Meanwhile, the British singer remains in Germany due to Coldplay’s current “Spheres World Tour.”

So far, none of those involved or their representatives have provided or shared an official statement on behalf of the actors.
The love story of Chris Martin and Dakota Johnson
After more than 10 years of marriage to actress Gwyneth Paltrow, the Coldplay frontman ended their relationship in 2014. Following this event, various rumors began to place Martin with Johnson, who had also recently left a relationship with model Matthew Hitt in 2013.
