Without a doubt, the biggest move of the summer in European football was the arrival of Kylian Mbappé at Real Madrid. The French star seemed to have taken very little time to adapt to his new team, and last Wednesday in the final of the European Super Cup he scored his first goal in a white shirt to also win his first title with the club and the first at European level in his career.
Real Madrid now boasts one of the best squads in the world and their coach Carlo Ancelotti knows the quality of talent he has to lead. The Italian strategist recently broke his silence regarding Mbappé’s debut in the team and took the opportunity to assess his arrival in the Spanish capital.
“He has been welcomed like all new players. We all know that he has arrived with extraordinary talent and here both the club and his teammates always help those who arrive to feel comfortable,” explained Ancelotti.
Ancelotti also commented on how the arrival of Mbappé has impacted the Real Madrid dressing room. He said that the 2018 World Cup winner with France arrived as one of the team and has adapted very well. “Kylian has entered the dressing room very well, with humility, very serious. He has started very well,” he said.
Finally, the Real Madrid coach made it clear that since Mbappé’s arrival there has been “a lot of feeling” with his teammates. Something that is noticeable on the pitch, and the coach also wanted to put an end to those comments that claimed that Mbappé was going to be a problem in the Real Madrid dressing room.
Mbappé aims for 50 goals?
After winning the European Super Cup and scoring his first goal for Real Madrid, Mbappé was confident and assured that he will give his all for the team, scoring as many goals as possible, which seems to aim for 50 goals this season.
“We are Real Madrid, we have no limits. If we can score 50 goals, I will score 50,” Mbappé had emphasised shortly after winning the European Super Cup.
