In an interview for the program “Ventaneando,” Alejandra Guzmán broke the silence about the estrangement that has existed for several years with her daughter Frida Sofía, a topic that has been the subject of speculation and controversy in the media. Although there have been many theories, the singer revealed what triggered their breakup.
Guzmán, who has been known for both her musical career and her turbulent family relationships, explained that the differences between her and Frida Sofía became more evident due to a series of personal problems. According to the artist, tensions began to arise when she stopped giving Frida Sofía money, a decision that, according to Alejandra, generated a series of misunderstandings and conflicts.
“The distancing began when I took away his money and when I told him that I wanted him to build his career and do something with his life. I gave him a certain amount each month and of course he didn’t like it at all when I took away his monthly allowance,” said Alejandra.
Alejandra Guzmán admitted that, although she has tried to mend the situation and open a channel of communication, past wounds and differences of opinion have made reconciliation a complicated process. She also revealed that, after that first confrontation, the young woman was very aggressive with her both physically and verbally, confessing that on many occasions she had to hold back so that the dispute would not escalate.
When asked by Paty Chapoy if there was any aggression or blows from Frida Sofía towards Alejandra Guzmán, the singer replied: “Yes, there were several.”
Despite these challenges, Guzman expressed his desire to resolve the differences and find a way to rebuild the relationship with his daughter.
“I would like to reconcile, that is what I most long for. To be able to talk to her and get closer. She knows that I love her, I always defended her and gave her the best I had, even before giving it to myself,” he said.
It is worth mentioning that this information comes after the program claimed that Frida Sofía traveled from the United States to Mexico to file a complaint against her mother, Alejandra Guzmán. However, the hosts said that at the moment they do not know the exact reasons why Frida wants to take legal action against the rocker.
While all this is happening, followers of Alejandra Guzmán and Frida Sofía do not lose hope that in the future there will be a rapprochement that will allow them to heal their differences and rebuild the mother-daughter connection that, despite the conflicts, remains deeply meaningful.
