The iconic American rapper, Dr. Dre, is considered one of the most important figures within the music genre in the country, being the protagonist of some of the most important songs within the industry; despite this, he not only wants to be a music legend, but he has also proposed to participate in the upcoming Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028 after seeing the success recorded in Paris 2024.

The artist made these statements during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, where he explained that he has always been a great fan of archery and for this reason he wants to be able to earn a spot in this sport to participate in the 2028 Los Angeles sporting event to represent the United States and thus be able to win a medal.

“I’m trying to get into the 2028 Olympics. I’m totally serious about that,” Dr. Dre said in his statements, stating that he is fully focused on completing whatever process is necessary to participate in the Olympic Games, taking advantage of the fact that they will be held in his home country.

The Xxplosive and NoDiggity singer said that he takes this whole project of participating in the Olympic Games in archery so seriously that he has a set installed in his house that is 27 meters long, plus the 23 meters that are usually used in the most important sporting event on the planet.

“I can compete in archery. I started in high school and after a while my son bought me some equipment and I set it up in my backyard. I saw that the distance at the Games is 23 meters and at home I have the equipment at 27 meters,” added the rapper.

It is important to highlight that Dr. Dre’s love for the Olympic Games does not come out of nowhere, because during the Paris 2024 competitions the singer was one of the main animators of these activities by being present at several of the Olympic competitions alongside his friend and colleague Snoop Dogg.
